The Challenge
Grupo México approached us with the objective of renewing Ferromex's website. The current site was very old, outdated, and did not follow the company's new brand guidelines. Our challenge was to modernize the design and improve the navigation flows to offer a more intuitive and efficient experience.
Optimized user navigation
Since the site is primarily used by suppliers and companies that need to move cargo, our focus was on optimizing navigation and ensuring clarity in reading. In this type of corporate website, it is essential that pertinent information is easy to find and clearly legible.
Minimalist and clean design
To elevate the website, we proposed a sophisticated, elegant, and corporate style that reflects the company's prestige. We incorporated rigid geometric shapes, well-spaced grids, and typographic hierarchies to ensure quick and clear reading.
Componentized design
We created a new design system to help create a shared design language across Ferromex. The system offer a library of predefined, reusable components that meant designers and developers spent less time building from scratch. The design system accelerated the pace of their work and enhanced consistency web-wide, meaning new features could be more easily added and adjusted throughout the company’s evolution.
Web Implementation
We developed the site in WordPress at the client's request, creating a fully custom template to meet the project's needs. The choice of graphic resources, contrasting white and red colors, and information organization are designed for an accessible, minimalist, and clean design.
